Being Lazy

I have quite enjoyed my break.  My sweet puppy is enjoying it with me.

Christmas

I have throughly enjoyed my time off of school.  I love my students and my job, but it's been nice relaxing with Honey & both our families.  Of course we had a tacky sweater Christmas party.  No pictures from that, but I loved my tree this year.

The skirt is from my in-laws which was my birthday present :)

Christmas spirit

We spent the weekend before Christmas at my parent's house doing "Christmas" with them.  Brock likes my parents house because of the space outside but doesn't like the being outside part ...

We don't get up to Opelika that often & this year we got to spend a whole week with Honey's family since he hasn't used all his vacation time.  We ate lots of yummy food, shopped & played with friends and family.  It was a very Merry Christmas!

My 24th

I enjoyed my birthday this year more than some years in the past.  The reason being was my 18 sweet kiddos.  They started the week before with a countdown and were SO excited the day of.  They talked about my birthday ALL day & loved guessing my age ha.  Here were some sweet things from my babies!

From my sweet team
I think my kids had more fun that I did ;)

Finally catching up on my posts!  This one is only 20 days late ... HA

Sweet Daddy

DISCLAIMER -- there is a somewhat graphic picture below.  You have been warned :)

My dad has had a problem with his foot for a few years now.  He finally had to have surgery.  He was on "bed rest" for a week, now he has a hard cast & in a few weeks he will have a soft cast.

 Before his cast

Nothing like holiday spirit ...
His text read "Tony the tech does great work" with this picture!

I will continue to think about my sweet mom & youngest sister who are both being good helpers for my dad :)

A wedding, Thanksgiving & Our Anniversary

Please excuse this post being a full MONTH late.  We have had a busy few months.  We went to a weeding in Tampa the weekend before Thanksgiving.  It was our sweet friends W & S (whose engagement party I talked about here).  W also introduced Honey and I!  Small world :)  They had a small ceremony, a fun reception and we had an awesome night!  We love you guys.

My sorority "family"

We spent Thanksgiving in North Carolina with my family which was also our one year anniversary.  We went hiking, played lots of board games, ate yummy food and had so much fun.  We even shared the top layer of our wedding cake with everyone!  More pictures to come ...

Elf on the Shelf

I love teaching third grade.  Most days.  That's terrible to say.  I honestly love it, good days and bad.  Sometimes I forget how young my students really are.  I was reminded Tuesday afternoon.

I decided to do Elf on the Shelf for the holidays.  I told my kids I had a super, awesome surprise for them and asked them to come to the carpet.  I told them Santa was sending a special friend and took out the Elf on the Shelf book.  Needless to say, they were SO into it.  A lot of my kids have one (or two) at home and love that we have one at school too.  Our elf, Elfvis Presently, hasn't gotten into too much mischief yet ...

Oh, Honey

Hello.  Yes, I am alive.  Apparently I am a terrible blogger.  I have TONS to catch up on but I wanted to share something first.

My sweet husband is a hunter.  He is not enjoying being away from his family's land in Alabama but has found some places to hunt down here.  About two months ago, he went hunting in Manatee County outside of Tampa at my Uncle's property (thanks, Uncle L).  He shot an 8 point and decided he wanted to get it mounted.  **For all you non-hunters - an 8 point is good**  So tonight, instead of getting our Christmas tree which has now been postponed until Sunday, we drove ONE HOUR to get the deer.

Yes, he's already on the wall.

Caught ya!

Jealous of the deer ...

I will be back with more, no worries.  More often too (fingers crossed).
