Happy birthday, B

One of my oldest friends, B, turned 24 yesterday!  She graduated from college (with her masters), moved home, starts teaching AND is planning her wedding (date set - December 30th), all in one year.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LOVE YOU, HOPE YOUR DAY WAS AMAZING!!!

B - Here's to an amazing year for you (and Ian)!  It's been a fun FIFTEEN years & there will be many more to come!  From our days at SMEDS and Plant to wedding planning and teaching stories!  It's been a great year for you and 24 will be another good year too :)

Love

this little girl.  I played with J and Babe yesterday (and Little Babe) & witnessed what happens when a 1 and a half year old doesn't have a full nap.  She is so stinkin' cute and it was hard not to laugh during the meltdown!

I bought lots of fun stuff and I will have more on that later.  Honey and I are off to buy more goodies for my art projects.  Happy Saturday!

Treats

These are the treats in our house right now ...

Why are mine so much darker?  WAH
Job well done.  Honey likes them too!  We got the mix for a wedding gift, thanks Sarah!

Sweet Babe

C and J's oldest daughter.  Also known as my "babe."  I love her & am getting great practice :)  Now if we could just convince Honey that Babe needs a friend!

Most Wanted: nOir Jewelrey

This bracelet would look amazing on my wrist, if I do say so :)  Maybe Honey will think so too!

These are actually made out of lanyard material!  Cool, huh.  I remember making lanyard bracelets/necklaces/key chains & now they're selling them!  Check them out here.  I like the black because it goes with everything but I also like this one

DIY, Yes Please

I.NEED.THIS.NOW.  That is all.

You can find this pretty here.  Meanwhile, I will be out and about (maybe at Goodwill) searching for one to make pretty myself.

Most Wanted: Jack Rogers

I first saw these on College Prep and think they are so stinkin cute!  Since I will be back in the classroom this Fall (more on that) I need to get some more classroom-friendly shoes.  I own plenty of nice "flip flops" and sandals but need some Fall shoes as well.  Maybe these pretties will find a way into my closet sooner rather than later ...

Most Wanted

Okay ... I have been blog stalking a lot lately (thanks to some free time AND K over at Ki Designs) & have found some super cute DIY projects/little pretties I want/ways to improve my life!  Sheridan French (super amazing blog & super cute) does "Most Wanted" posts and I thought it was such a super smart idea!  So be on the lookout for those :)

DIY: Jewelry Organizer

I have been itching to make this Lovely Jewelry Organizer but cannot find the cabinet hardware anywhere!  My sister found the super cute blog & since T and M are coming to visit, we wanted to do a sisterly project.  The hardware is expensive but the blog suggests going to builder supply stores & asking if they have any old sample boards.  Home Depot and Lowe's were less than helpful and I don't know where else to look :/  But I *NEED* this!!!

Since Honey got me a nice jewelry box/piece of furniture for my birthday, I thought about making this jewelry organizer a little differently.  Hopefully I will figure something out & have pictures to post soon :)

Attention Teachers!

There is an *AMAZING* contest going on here!  While I love to blog, I am just getting into all the teaching blogs and loving them!!  I stumbled upon this amazing blog & realized there is an awesome back to school contest going on!  It'd be perfect to win and I'm crossing my fingers!  It's called the Back to School Bonanza Contest and if you are a teacher, you should definitely check it out :)

Sunday Funday

We had lots of fun this weekend and today was no exception ...

My target at the gun range!  Pretty good shooter if I do say so & yes there is a bulls eye!

This is from the empty *HOT* shells.  They come out of the pistol after you shoot it.  A few made it down my shirt and left burn marks, ouch!

Stocked up on some wine at Target - no worries, good prices there!

 Yummy dinner.  Pasta chicken salad!

American Idol concert - amazing, by the way!

Poor Boys

miss hunting season so badly ... I think they'll survive ;)

Update

on my summer reading!  I have SO many books I want to read & I've been so slack about it.  I talked about books I like/want to read here and still I haven't read all my books yet :(  I've finished The Help and Between Sisters so far.  I have lots of Karen Kingsbury books to read still.  I also read

and highly recommend it!  It's about a little boy who went in for emergency surgery & died on the operating table.  The story is told from his dad's perspective about their experiences with his illness & everything else involved with his surgery.  Amazing!!

Brock

the brat.  Have I ever introduced you to our puppy?  I love our 90 pound *puppy* with all my heart.  But he is a spoiled thing.  Will bought him for me four years ago when he was a tiny thing.  He is our baby & I love love love him.  But, he is rather spoiled.  He gets table scraps (most nights), peanut butter ice cream (sometimes) and doesn't eat lukewarm hash browns (seriously).  He wakes up most mornings in our doorway wagging his tail, waiting to go out.  He also loves his daddy & likes being scratched, anywhere.  Unless I pull the sneak attack, he does NOT like his picture being taken.

 Almost got him

Watched him for a few minutes with my camera ready & then BAM (notice the stuffing exploding out of the toy - he loves it)!

Side note:  Will bought Brock "for me" as a hunting dog for him ... Hmmmmm.  Oh well, love my honey & my puppy!

Fun Times

are being had this weekend!  J and J have been here since Friday & we've been having lots of fun!  Friday night we went to dinner

and enjoyed the company (and yummy food).  Yesterday we went shopping and saw Friends with Benefits.  Besides some crude language, the movie was good!  I've been known for choosing not so good movies and I'm trying very hard to redeem myself.  I chose The Lincoln Lawyer last time so I'm doing much better :)  Then we headed to Downtown Disney for dinner.

 Me and J

It was SO packed but we enjoyed dinner & entertainment at an Irish restaurant (my fish n chips were so tasty)!

Sunday night we headed to the American Idol concert.  Our seats were SO good and the concert was amazing!!

 All of us!

Someone popped into the picture - guess who?

 Honey and I :)

Long story BUT for any American Idol followers - this is James Durbin.  He came out of nowhere & was less than five feet from us!

Wreath Craze

Remember my super cute wreath I blogged about here?  And how I said I was getting another surprise today?  Although I haven't actually gotten it, I know what it is and I'm SUPER excited!!!  Check out this new wreath

Ready for football season!  Go Tigers!  And the back ...

Love having a super artsy friend!  If you haven't checked out Ki Designs, do it :)

Tampa Time

I came to Tampa Monday morning to work at camp.  It has been a fun week but tiring!  I always forget what it's like to chase kids around all day.  I stayed at Maude's (my grandmother) Monday & Tuesday night but I'm at my parent's house hanging with my mom until Friday.

Water slide for water day at camp!

Besides working camp, getting my haircut & eating lots of yummy food, I've been running errands.  So, I had to stop at Ki Designs, one of my favorite places to shop.  Kimy, who owns the boutique, went to high school with me & is SOOOOOO artsy!  I ordered a CUTE wreath and went to pick it up.  It turned out *SO* stinkin cute

She can make anything and it's all SO cute!!  She's on Facebook and she blogs & ships - perfect for everyone and everything!  I even made an appearance on her blog this week :)  Check out Gold Kick and go shop there!  I also got this beauty

My wreath was free because it was an anniversary gift (early) so I needed this :)  She also has another surprise for me that I'm picking up tomorrow - so excited!

Change of Plans

We planned to head to the beach last weekend but we weren't feeling it Saturday morning.  Instead, we had a lazy morning and went looking for new places to live that afternoon.  Our lease isn't up until the beginning of December but we are moving & need to start looking.  It's going to take a long time!  Updates on that much later.

Saturday night we headed to J and C's house for dinner & games.  They are BIG TIME into games & it was quite an entertaining night.  First A helped clean out my purse & found my cell phone.  Then she helped brush Will and C's hair.  We always love hanging with their family!  They are supposed to move sometime *soon* and we will be so sad when they do.

Terrible camera quality

Sunday we joined the iphone craze & now have a family plan :)  The Verizon man was soooooo nice & I'm already much happier with their customer service!  I thought I knew how to work an ihpone but not so much ha.  Monday morning I went to Tampa - more to come on that!

Happy *late* Birthday

to my sweet friend, T.  I have known her since kindergarten  and we have been friends ever since!  She is one of my dearest, oldest friends and her birthday was yesterday.  We talked off and on yesterday & I just want to wish her another "Happy Birthday!"  Love you, T

Bloggin

I have been MIA for some time now.  I apologize.  We are still alive and kickin' & busy as ever!  Last week one of my dearest friends, B, came & visited.  Then Will and I headed to the beach.  It was quite relaxing and we are going back this weekend.  Hopefully my parents don't sell the condo anytime soon :)

I have found quite a few new fun/decorative/cute blogs and wanted to share them with YOU.  So, here ya go!

My favorite one *currently* is the last one!  It makes me want to redo everything we own!  I'm sure Will doesn't love the site as much as me he.

Proud of myself ...

... for cooking!  I do not like to cook.  It's not that I can't cook, I can.  It's mainly that Will loves to cook & his meals are delicious.  And since he loves to cook and I don't, it makes more sense for him to cook :)  Anyway ...  I cooked dinner AND made a tasty treat today.  For dinner we had a pot roast.  I used the slow cooker and let it cook all day.  I actually combined multiple recipes (which is very hard for me) & it was very good!

Tastier than it looks :)

And this was the tasty treat I made!  I call it Cookie/Oreo/Brownie Delight.  I found the recipe on another blog & it was easy to make and very yummy!!

Cookie dough, double stuffed oreos and brownie mix!!
It's really hard to take pictures of food!  Maybe I need a new camera ;)

On the cake stand!
