Casey Anthony was sentenced today!  The verdict was reached Tuesday which some people think was way too quickly.  The only word I can think to describe Tuesday in Orlando was "mass chaos".  It was out of control & the only reason there was not a riot was due to the high number of police officers guarding the courthouse and the Anthony's home/street.  

The defense asked that Casey Anthony only receive one count of providing false information to a law enforcement officer, instead of four.  They claimed the counts were the same and should be considered double jeopardy.  The judge sentenced her to one year per all four counts charged with a $1,000 fine per each count.  However, she gets time served toward her new time.  The judge has to meet with each side & get the records from the Orange County jail to figure out time served.  

And the verdict - Casey Anthony was given credit for 1,043 days in jail and will be released July 13th, 2011.  Only six "more" days.
