Memorial Weekend 2011

We got back last night from a FUN filled weekend!  We left Friday late afternoon and got to Birmingham around dinner.  Will's parents picked us up from the airport and we enjoyed a yummy dinner at California Pizza Kitchen at the Summit.  Then we headed to Opelika!

Waiting at the airport, first time flying together ever

Saturday, we woke up to an amazing smelling breakfast (as well as every other morning).  Then I enjoyed some fun with Will's sister and mom.  We got pedicures, shopped and played in the sun.  Will was fishing with his brother so I'm sure he was having fun too :)  We enjoyed a yummy dinner of fried fish that night and continued to eat allllllllll weekend, ha.

 Making curly french fries :)

We decided to celebrate Memorial Day twice and played by the pool and grilled out Sunday and Monday afternoon.  It was SO relaxing and I hope to enjoy many more pool days this summer!  I'm waiting on my pictures from A :)

Monday night we met up with B and M in Auburn and had a yummy Mexican feast.  Although the service wasn't the best, we LOVED catching up with them.  It only makes me more excited for our beach week this summer!  After dinner we grabbed a drink with L and D at Momma G's and caught up with them as well.  Then we headed toward Opelika and stopped by M and T's house.  M was already asleep but it was good catching up with T, who I haven't seen since their wedding.  It was definitely a whirlwind night, but it was really really nice seeing some of our good friends.
Me and B :)  Miss her so much!!

We woke up Tuesday morning, enjoyed a yummy breakfast again and packed up.  Our flight wasn't until 5:30 pm but the drive to Birmingham is about 2 and a half hours and we had to be at the airport ahead of time.  We ate at Breezeway (Will's FAVORITE) for lunch and headed to Birmingham.

We were sad to leave after such a fun weekend but happy to be back home and pick up Brock.  It's always hard to travel to Opelika to see Will's family but so worth it.  We hope to get back there before too and LOVED seeing everyone!!
